On Tuesday morning, a peacock woke us up at 5:15 (that was a bad experience). On the same day we were making a den, with giant sticks. We were also shaving a stick with a knife this is called whittling. On Thursday we are going to place marshmallows on the sharp pointed end of our sticks and toast them over a fire. Our favourite activity today was making fires, using a flint and steel to get the spark. We built a small file using small piece of wood and cotton wool. At the same time the other groups were doing observational drawings of Ringsfield Hall. We had to sketch a tree, an animal and a building.
