CHECK BACK IN TOMMORROW FOR

    Videos from the Talent Show

Pictures from the BBQ and Toasting marshmallows over the fire with the sticks that we whittled...

Picture orienteering was today’s mystery activity. We had to find places around the grounds using a small map and a laminated picture sheet. Not everyone enjoyed this activity because it was very challenging.

Today most people were preparing their act for the talent show. Some people will be singing some dancing and some doing comedy! The majority of kids are excited about the roaring bonfire where we will toast scrumptious marshmallows. Everyone is really proud that they managed to whittle their own sticks for bonfire night. Later on we will be eating like horses when we get our teeth into a mouth-watering BBQ!!!!!

Sadly the week will be coming to an end tomorrow so we will be trying to have the most fun we can have tonight!!! Over all Ringsfield hall has been an incredible experience seeing that we only had to write diaries whilst all the other kids back at school had to work extra hard. Especially Tommy Conway!!!

We all think that Ringsfield Hall is so much more fun than school! The chores are cleaning beans off plates, sweeping the floor but still it’s better than school. But today we will be having a fantastic time at the camp fire and BBQ and we are having a talent show.

There is a tree that is called the far away tree for some reason and loads of people can climb it and it is so good to climb aswell and you can go so high!

The doughnut is a trench in the shape of a circle with an island in the centre, and it is where everyone plays (it is so fun).

Ringsfield Hall is an enjoyable place, its better then school any day. We would all like to come back to this wonderful place. Today (Thursday) we fed the noisy chickens and collected there hot eggs. We also fed the guinea pigs that have random names like Lover, Pig Wig, Wigglet and Michael Jackson but there’s many more. The goats are very feisty and will hardly take food out of your hands, but one goat does.

Yesterday we had pasta and jacket potatoes for dinner, but today we are going to have a BBQ, and for dessert were going to have ice cream. YAY scrummy !!!!!!

Today (Thursday) we are going to be having a barbeque and we are also going to toast marshmallows on the sticks that we whittled. There is also a talent show happening tonight(we are all quite nervous)! However we all had to do our part on the chores including cleaning; scrubbing; washing up and sweeping.

The animals include goats, guinea pigs, Sebastian the peacock, the sheep and the chickens. The guinea pigs were so cute but we found them a bit weird as they ate our leftovers (fruit and vegetables). We got to feed the guinea pigs, the chicken and the goats. The chickens eat grain and bread, and some of us got to take the eggs that the chickens had laid.

We also got to orienteer around Ringsfield hall looking for things by observing a picture sheet and there is a prize for whoever was in the top three (fingers crossed!). Two teams finished the whole thing while some were a little behind. But it was a bit hard for most of us, for instance, there was a green door in the photograph but that was a long time ago so they had painted it grey!

At Ringsfield Hall we have been doing lots of fun stuff, such as: feeding the animals, playing at the doughnut, climbing on the Faraway tree and other stuff. We also have to do work like: washing the dishes, cleaning the tables, doing our diaries and cleaning our rooms. So we have done lots of fun things this past week but there has been some down sides like the peacock has been waking us up at about 3:00 in the morning. The food has been made from heaven and the cleaning duties we do are really boring; everyone hates them but we have all had a lot of fun at Ringsfield Hall.

Today at Africa Alive we did some amazing things! When we went to the education centre we saw some incredibly interesting animals! We saw a Rat who was a lovely mini rat called Tahla, we saw a tortoise called Barney who was sooooo cute and beautiful. But he was as slow as an insect! After that we met a Royal Pythan called Dee!

Throughout the day everyone had a nice time, going round the zoo in groups, seeing all the animals. Here are some of the animals we saw at Africa Alive: Zebra, Sheep, Hyaena, Flamingos, Lions, Ostriches, Snakes and many more carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.

The BEST thing about the day was seeing those exotic and interesting animals. We hope all the yr4’s enjoy there trip next year.

Fun and games in free time...

Today we went to the adventurous Africa Alive where we saw different types of African animals. We also got to meet a zoo keeper called Anna, she gave us an immense speech about herbivores, carnivores and omnivores Also meeting Royal Python called Dee, microscopic Tortoise called Barney, and a charming Rat called Talah.

A gentle, laid back bus journey around Africa alive was just what we needed. With the deep noise of the driver, the noises of the animals, it wasn’t a pleasant drive. We mostly liked watching the otters getting fed, as they plunged into shallow, cool water.

Ringsfield Hall is an entertaining and quiet place…

Yesterday we had lots of fun, we played a pleasurable game called ‘the follow game’ with Mark, Rachel, Holly and lots of other children.

Today we rushed off to Africa Alive, a fun, lively, energetic and exotic zoo. The reason for this is that they bread only African animals and exchange them over the European zoos. In the zoo we saw many mind-boggling animals. Such as: Giraffes, Zebras, Rhinos, Lions, Meercats, Cheetahs, should we go on, We would be here all year!!!!!

Wish you could be here, you never know, year 0-4s might well be here one day!!!

Ringsfield Hall is going very well, yesterday we all loved the Shepherd’s pie (it was delicious) and the great chocolate cake mmm. Later lots of boys were enjoying a good game of family add, it was fun. Today we had an exciting time at Africa alive, where we saw lots of animals originated from Africa, which impressed us all but most of us have liked having a fantastic time on the football pitch. At Africa alive we went on a road train that took us round on a tour where we saw all the animals but most of our favourites were the Meerkats, we also learnt about carnivores, herbivores and omnivores, and we saw a rat called Tahla a tortoise called Barney and a royal python called Dee. We hope for some more fun throughout the next few days.
